Money for “good luck” Sweet cherries for a treat!

Vancho Chavdarov (farmer), Strumica

Strumica region is famous for its favorable climate and conditions for production of many types of agricultural crops. Since I come from an agricultural family who live in the village, ever since I was young I have been interested in this area and have decided to enroll agricultural studies and I graduated at the Faculty of Agriculture in Skopje. I was employed according to my profession in ZIK Strumica, a social company and during the transition period I lost my job. After that I started working in an agricultural pharmacy but this job was not fulfilling.

Because I had inherited land from my parents I decided to work in agriculture (gardening) but since lately agricultural crops haven’t had regular placing and the prices vary significantly, I decided to plant sweet cherry varieties on around 2000 square meters and since I have a lot of practical experience in this area, in the future I plan to expand with new types of sour cherries and apples on around 8.000 square meters.  Because I needed financial resources, and I already knew about FULM Savings House, Mutrino branch from shared experiences among farmers who had used loans from FULM, and they were all satisfied with the favorable conditions and correct relations from the employees in the Savings house, I decided to turn to them and see if I could take out an agricultural loan to complete the planting of sweet cherries I had already planned. I turned to FULM and they approved a loan under very favorable conditions.

As it turned out, the money I withdrew from FULM were given to me for good luck, so the sweet cherry trees I planted grew unusually tall, which required additional cement pillars to build a fruit-wall so that I could cultivate and harvest them more easily. For this additional investment I again needed financial resources and in ten months I applied for refinancing of the existing loan for a higher amount in order to obtain additional funds.  When I turned to FULM, I came across a really positive reaction and support for my success, and they gladly refinanced my loan as a result of my timely payments and wisely used resources.

Now I see that my invested effort slowly pays off, and if I ever need financial resources, I know whom to turn to.

Therefore, to all the farmers who want to invest in agriculture but lack financial resources, feel free to turn to FULM Savings House where you will be heard and advised so that you can receive the best service possible for you which will directly help

with your investment, because it is wise and it pays off to cooperate with FULM.
